Welcome to our page!
My name is Lindsay Rae and as long as I can remember, I have loved Princesses, Dress-up, Fairytales, Acting and Singing! It was only a matter of time before all my passions collided!
As a little girl, we had a 'tickle trunk' full of costumes, and I was always writing plays and pretending to be characters along with my sisters and cousins.
I have been involved in numerous theatre productions over the years, from acting, to writing the music for Flatlands Theatre Company and Candlewick Productions Inc. I have also had the privilege to do some extra work in a couple of movies filmed in the Winnipeg area.
Singing and performing have always been part of who I am. I spent many years teaching music and performing as a solo artist for seniors, kids, coffee houses and festivals. Six years ago, I met my prince charming and formed the country/roots duo, L Rae & J and we have entertained many audiences from Southern Manitoba all the way to the West Coast!
Lastly, I believe in the importance of making people feel special and loved. And I am so excited to live this out by offering incredible experiences to children and the young at heart as they discover the light inside themselves and in turn, pass that on to others around them!

Policies
Cancellation Policy
In the event of poor driving conditions (or Covid shut downs), you may reschedule or we can offer you a zoom party, along with a discount (if booking was more expensive than a zoom party). In the rare event of unforeseen circumstances that our character needs to cancel, you will receive a 100% refund.
Supervision:
In order to insure that the attendees of the party have the most magical experience, we kindly ask that you monitor disruptive behavior and attend to unruly children. Our character entertainers are not a daycare service nor is it their job to discipline children.
Liability:
Your event character/entertainer will work to ensure that your home and guests are treated with the utmost care, however, please be advised that A Country Princess assumes no responsibility or liability to accidents or damages caused during your party/event to your guests or your property. Liability will lie strictly with the client.

FAQ's
What type of events do our characters attend?
We attend all kinds of events from birthday parties, school events, festivals, company banquets, charities, youth functions, etc.
Please remember that our audience is specifically meant for children. We reserve the right to refuse business to anyone for any reason. Our characters reserve the right to cancel if for any reason they do not feel safe.
What areas do you serve?
We are delighted to bring the enchantment to the Winkler and surrounding area! All package prices include up to a 15 km radius of Winkler. We will most certainly attend events beyond that for a additional travel fee of $0.60/km.
Do your characters attend outdoor events?
Yes! As long as there's some shade to keep the characters cool, they would love to attend outdoor events!
How far in advance do I need to book a character?
We recommend booking your character a minimum of 3 weeks in advance to ensure the date of your choice. However, shorter notice may be feasible depending on the characters' schedule.
What ages are appropriate for your parties?
We provide characters for parties for children age 10 years and under but we may be able to make exceptions for certain events or circumstances.
